Soheil Sadeqi (PhD, P. Eng.) was the co-founder and CTO of Human in Motion Robotics Inc. Sadeqi received his bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Tehran. Sadeqi was then accepted to Simon Fraser University (SFU), and that same year he began his master of science degree in mechatronics systems engineering. Sadeqi completed his PhD, successfully defending his thesis, titled Design of a Hybrid Spherical Manipulator for Lower Limb Exoskeleton Applications. The main objective of his research and development project was to develop a new generation of wearable lower limb anthropomorphic exoskeleton robotic system (WLLAE) that can potentially provide an affordable, reliable and versatile solution for people with mobility disability, The project aims to achieve this by designing optimized structures and components, including novel customized joint actuators and sensors.
